Finished my Wiksten Tank Top! This was a run-through with practice material but I love how it turned out. Looking forward to making more of these!

Guess who’s going to be making this when she can get her grubby little hands on the right sized pattern?!?

glassowhine:

Left my room for one minute (if that) (to get some chocolate) and came back to find this happening on my bed #henryVIII #thecuteness

Lovely quilt, lovely pup!

Jason and Skookum help show off my latest quilt! It is a belated wedding gift for a good friend who now lives in Minneapolis (but I’m hoping will make it back to Seattle!)

The off white and darker brown are American Made brand solids, which are cool because they are completely grown, dyed, and packaged in the US. The red is Kona Rich Red, and the tan and backing are random remnants I had in my stash, which I need to continue working on whittling down!

I did shadow quilting, where I followed the herringbone zig zag across the top, about 5/8 of an inch outside of the seams. That involved a LOT of shifting and pulling, my arms certainly got a workout! I’m really happy with the end result, and I hope it keeps Karin and Jay happy and cozy through the chilly Minnesota winter :)

I cut these awesome half yards of Denyse Schmidt fabrics for a customer today and now I kind of want to grab some yardage too…
